I bought this to replace a (15 year old) Logitech speaker system when I destroyed the sub-woofer playing way too much bass-filled music at a high level. This is a great system but I'm old school in my expectations. The speakers are covered in a 'tight' fabric which I do not like--I prefer hardened grills to avoid damaging the speaker cones. Also, the newer speaker system features a smaller in size sub-woofer. I prefer a larger sub-woofer box for more resonance and boom. With actual use the system is very good in spite of my preferences. The sound is good and the bass is adequate for game/movie explosions and dance music. The sound control knob is a nice feature, especially since it includes a headphone jack. The only drawback I will have to revisit is that the speaker cable isn't that long so it's difficult/limiting to place the speakers strategically for sound quality. I still have the older Logitech speakers with a longer cable that I may just plug into the new system to give me more placement options.

The Logitech Z333 are an amazing set of budget studio monitors. They are probably one of the best studio monitors for under 100. The sound clear and balanced.
